About O-Zone Minimize

What is O-Zone?
The Oracle on Windows Zone is the definitive resource for IT professionals that are evaluating, developing and deploying Oracle on Windows.  Registered members may download free copies of Oracle Database XE and tools such as the Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio.NET and the Oracle Data Provider for .NET.  These tools allow you to work with Oracle from within the Visual Studio IDE and connect your .NET application to Oracle.

Evaluating Oracle on Windows
O-Zone is structured around the development lifecycle and provides resources for each phase to help you progress from technology evaluation through to deployment. For most, the evaluation is the first step.  O-Zone provides centralised access to free tools for this.  We also offer free Managed Evaluations for those that require a more disciplined approach for moving forward.  Members that qualify for this service will be allocated additional resources, including a technical account manager if required.  If you would like to be considered for a managed evaluation, please contact us

How do I get started?
First, please register as a member of the portal.  Then we suggest you start by working through the FAQs.  These provide an overview of Oracle on Windows and tell you more about how this site can connect you with the tools and resources to get started.

Why do we ask you to register?
A healthy membership will help us secure further assistance from Oracle and other third parties that have given their support for this project.  Registration only takes a moment and provides us with the details we need if you wish to receive newsletters, event alerts or other assistance such as Managed Evaluations.

What is Grey Matter's involvement?
Oracle has commissioned Grey Matter to run the portal on account of their strength in the developer tools market place and their understanding of the needs of the .NET and database communities.  O-Zone was created and is maintained using DotNetNuke running against Oracle Database10g.
